and West Texas, Julie developed and designed a successful floral program from the ground up, doubling sales and increasing profitability by 15 percent within the first four years. As coordinator of Furrs' annual perishable buying show, Julie brought together more than 150 store associates and 300 vendors in the floral, bakery and deli areas to share their knowledge and expertise. She coordinated seminars and exhibits that benefited both the vendor and the buyer in a fun, profit driven atmosphere. It is these years of accumulated wisdom that Julie brings to Julie Anderson Consulting. Julie provides training, special event coordination, strategic planning and product development services in a motivated, passionate manner. Her impeccable follow through and broad business perspective gleaned from her retail and teaching experience has resulted in Julie's ability to share her unique understanding with clients from start-ups to mature companies. Julie Anderson is an effective communicator whose love of art and head for business led her to teach floral design at Triton College for 10 years, and she currently teaches floral design at Sage Ways, a local continuing education organization. Julie is a member of the Albuquerque Management Consultants Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She has also served in leadership positions of the Produce Marketing Association and the Floral Marketing Association from 1993 to 2000, most recently as chair of the FMA board of directors. In addition, Julie served on the board of the Albuquerque Botanical Garden from 1997-98. Julie holds a Bachelor's of Science degree with majors in art and business. |
